Following the Constitution Bench Directive, SBI provided the Electoral Bonds data to the ECI after its plea for an extension was denied on March 11th, 2024.
Now in compliance with the directive of Hon’ble Supreme Court, ECI has uploaded the details of Electoral Bonds purchased from SBI on its website and can be accessed at this URL : https://www.eci.gov.in/disclosure-of-electoral-bonds . The details are presented in two sets : One set contains the purchase details such as the date of purchase of the electoral bond, purchaser’s name and the denomination.
The second set containing information about the political parties’ details- date of encashment, the name of the political party and the denomination.
It is pertinent to note that the files uploaded do not establish any link between the purchaser and the political party.
